Gal Gadot is set to star in a new movie focusing on the Bitcoin drama,, which also stars Isla Fisher, Casey Affleck, and Pete Davidson.
Doug Liman directs the explosive thriller, which has previously been titled Killing Satoshi. However, Deadline now reports it will be named Bitcoin.
For role casting, Affleck plays divisive computer scientist Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of the cryptocurrency, a claim ruled incorrect by the UK High Court in 2024.
Additionally, Davidson will step into the role of blockchain investor Calvin Ayre, while Gal Gadot will play Charlotte “Lotte” Miller.
Nick Schenk penned the screenplay, and Ryan Kavanaugh and Lawrence Grey have produced the thriller movie, which has been in the works since February.
The film’s logline read, “Bitcoin is the true story of one man’s quest to prove that he is, in fact, the creator of Bitcoin — a claim that puts his life in peril and sets off a global firestorm and a wild, high-stakes race between the who’s who of tech billionaires and world leaders.”
“With the fate of the world’s entire financial system hanging in the balance, all leading to the question, “Why do the world’s most powerful people want to erase one man, and why would they spend hundreds of millions of dollars to do it?”
