Timothée Chalamet finally addressed the viral rumours linking him to masked rapper EsDeeKid.
The 29-year-old actor, who is best known for his iconic roles in Dune and Wonka, appeared on the Heart FM Breakfast show to give a rare comment on the speculation.
Chalamet did not confirm or deny the claims but he teased that “all will be revealed in due time,” leaving his fans buzzing about what might come next.
The rumours started after fans noticed a striking resemblance between the actor and the anonymous rapper, who always wears a mask or balaclava.
However, many people pointed out their similar green eyes and the same skull-print Alexander McQueen scarf, while TikTok clips comparing the two went viral in November, leaving people curious more than ever.
A Complete Unknown actor also attended a London show of EsDeeKid’s collaborator Fakemink, further fuelling speculation.
During the interview, host Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston asked the Marty Supreme actor directly about the rumours.
He responded with a grin, “I got no comment on that,” before joking about his childhood rap persona Lil Timmy Tim.
“Little Timmy doesn’t quite have the same ring to it,” he laughed, leaving the studio in hysterics.
While some of his fans believe that the theory, which others pointed out that EsDeeKid’s strong Scouse accent would be difficult for a New Yorker to imitate.
