Bertie Carvel to star in upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ series

Bertie Carvel, famed for his role in The Crown, has secured a special role in the upcoming Harry Potter series.

As the HBO series moves closer to its production, another key role has been secured.

Deadline has confirmed that Bertie is set to play the role of Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter series.

It is worth mentioning that the role of Cornelius was played by Robert Hardy in the original Harry Potter series. The role first appeared in the second part of the franchise, the Chambers of Secrets.

Notably, Bertie will also be playing a role in HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Besides Bertie Carvel, other members of the cast who are confirmed include John Lithgow as Professor Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.

Additionally, the famous trio of Harry Potter, Harmione Granger, and Ron Weasley will be played by Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout.
