Police believe Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was possibly kidnapped from her Arizona home while she was sleeping.
“I believe she was abducted, yes,” a spokesperson for the Pima Country Sheriff’s Department told CBS News on Monday. “She didn’t walk from there. She didn’t go willingly.”
“At this point, investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction,” added a spokesperson.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos further said that the investigators believe the 84-year-old was “taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. “

Chris further told the publication that the authorities believe Nancy was a victim of a crime.
“We believe now, after we’ve processed that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime,” said Chris. “She is very limited in mobility. We know she didn’t just walk out there, that we know. There are other things at the scene that indicate she did not leave on her own, we know that.”
For those unversed, Savannah’s mom has been missing since Sunday, February 1.
