Robert Pattinson teases major update on ‘Batman 2’

Gotham, get ready – Robert Pattinson is about to clock back in.

While promoting his upcoming film The Drama, the actor casually dropped a not-so-small update about The Batman Part II – and yes, things are finally moving.

“We’ll probably finish this press tour in… a week? And then I’ll immediately start doing Batman stuff,” Pattinson said during an appearance on C à vous.

Translation: the cape is coming out of storage very soon.

Even better? He’s clearly impressed with what’s coming next.

“The new script is so, so good,” he teased.

And he did not stop there.

Speaking to Deadline, Pattinson doubled down on the hype: “I think it’s going to be a really, really, really special movie… very, very different… I was reading it, going like, ‘Oh wow! Okay!’ It’s going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings.”

Director Matt Reeves clearly was not taking chances either – reportedly delivering the script in a “privacy pouch” with coded access. Subtle? Not exactly.

“He’s Batman, and if he doesn’t like it, not good,” Reeves joked, adding, “the things that it does for his character… have never been done before in this way.”

As for the cast, things are getting interesting. Sebastian Stan is stepping in as Harvey Dent, while Scarlett Johansson is rumoured to play Gilda Dent – though her role is still under wraps.

Mark your calendars: Gotham’s next chapter lands October 1, 2027.

Long wait? Sure. But if Pattinson’s reaction is anything to go by… it might just be worth it.
