Olivia Colman reveals where she keeps her Oscar

Olivia Colman has achieved evry actor’s dream: winning an Oscar. But she doesn’t like to boast about it.

Colman won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Queen Anne in 2019’s The Favourite.

During her appearance on The Great Christmas Bake Off on Boxing Day, the celebrated actress revealed that she doesn’t display her Oscar in her house since she feared it was “showy-offy.”

As they old pals talked, host Alison Hammond asked The Crown star about her Oscar gong.

“It’s now on a bookshelf, but hidden behind a book,” she replied, leaving Alison surprised.

When asked why she hid the most coveted trophy for an actor, she replied, “Because I think it’s a bit showy-offy.”

Alison felt differently and “would literally have them on display outside my house.”

Unlike the Oscar, Olivia would show off her Bake Off trophy, which she won after wowing the judges with her stained-glass biscuits, technical turkey pie and apple and cinnamon cake show-stopper.
