MobLand season 2 is shaping up to be just as intense behind the scenes as it on the screen.

According to insiders, the relationship between Dame Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy is ‘extremely strained’ on the set of Paramount+ show.

Reportedly, Mirren who plays the sharp and commanding Maeve Harrigan is said to be frustrated with Hardy’s laid-back approach.

Crew members have described him as occasionally distracted and even late to shoots.

The 48-year-old is reportedly found at times playing games on his phone.

Such behavior clashes with Mirren’s reputation for professionalism and discipline.

A source shared the actress is ‘getting increasingly frustrated’ with attitude.

As per an insider, “Tom’s character is charming. He’s the calm one but it is quite the opposite when the cameras stop. Dame Helen is a joy, she is a total pro and she has worked with so many people over the years.”

“But she is getting increasingly frustrated with Tom and his attitude. He can be late to filming too and that is annoying for Dame Helen, who is extremely professional and disciplined.”

“She expects better. She holds people to a high standard. She’s 80. She’s been there and seen it all,” the insider continued.

The friction has made their working relationship difficult.

Observers say Mirren no longer looks comfortable filming scenes with him, and the tension has become personal rather than purely professional.

This isn’t the first time Hardy’s intensity has caused issues. During the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road too, he famously clashed with Charlize Theron.
