LE SSERAFIM, BTS’ j-hope serve up hot plate of success with ‘Spaghetti’

LE SSERAFIM is enjoying a piping hot plate of success after releasing the first single from their new album, Spaghetti.

The eight-song collection features a saucy new collaboration with J Hope and together they cook up some instant chart topping magic.

Within just 24 hours of its release, the title track boiled up to the top of the iTunes charts in several regions. Dropped at midnight KST, the tasty treat marked the BTS star’s very first feature on a track by a K-pop girl group, which quickly dominated the music charts across the globe.

On October 24 at 1 p.m. KST, LE SSERAFIM made their highly-anticipated return with the new fan-favourite single and by 11 a.m. KST on October 25, it reached No. 1 on ITunes Top Songs charts in at least 55 regions, including Japan, Singapore and France, according to South Korean news outlet Soompi.

The track also charted in a total of 80 regions, peaking at No. 2 in the United States and No. 6 in the United Kingdom.

Adding to the excitement, LE SSERAFIM’s music video for Spaghetti surpassed 10 million views on YouTube within just 22 hours of its debut.

The powerhouse collaboration was teased earlier through a YouTube video titled The Kick, which showed j-hope in a Matrix-inspired outfit and shades under flashing strobe lights. The clip ended with a big reveal — a snippet of members KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE delivering the now-viral “eat it up” refrain.
