King Charles is reportedly hoping that his “disgraced” brother Andrew would end up behind bars.
According to Rob Shuter, the monarch sees Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor going to jail as a way to protect the monarchy and move on from constant controversies.
Citing sources, Shuter claimed that staying free could make Andrew more unpredictable, while prison would give the royal family a chance to regain control and avoid further public embarrassment.
“If Andrew walks, he’ll feel vindicated and untouchable,” a royal insider told Shuter, adding, “That makes him more emboldened, more reckless, and far more dangerous to the institution.”
“Prison contains the chaos,” they added. “It forces a hard stop. The family can regroup without constantly bracing for the next humiliation.”
Charles has already taken away his brother’s titles, duties, and public funding, but jail could finally end the perks and privileges that continue to draw criticism.
The source said that “no one wants to say it publicly but Andrew will always embarrass them. He won’t change. Jail removes the oxygen — and the obligation to bankroll him.”
