Katie Price comes under fire over ‘animal welfare’ neglect once again

Katie Price has garnered hate from social media once again, after she revealed that she plans on reducing the number of pets she own, that is 12.

The former glamour model revealed her decision in a YouTube vlog, where she spoke candidly about her lifestyle as she continues to split her time between the UK and Dubai following her marriage to self-proclaimed “businessman” Lee Andrews.

Katie, who has 12 pet animals at home, admitted that she needs to “re-evaluate” things in her life as circumstances are prone to change.

“I’ve got to sort out what I’m going to do with the animals,” she said. “Lee’s in Dubai and I’m going to keep going back and forth.”

She continued, “I’ve got 12 animals in the house. I know I like things excessive, big cars, big boobs, big bum, lots of animals.

“I think I need to re-evaluate my life a little bit… do I need so many animals?” she wondered in the vlog.

She went on to acknowledge the level of care required, adding: “You’ve got to be there all the time for them… everything I do is excessive, we all know that.”

However, the comments underneath showed that a lot of people did not appreciate her decision, questioning her commitment to her pets and wondering if she really cares about animal welfare.

“Poor animals,” one wrote, while another said: “You shouldn’t be allowed to have pets.”

Others urged her to prioritise the “animals’ welfare,” with some referencing her past controversies.

For those unaware, Katie has previously faced criticism from animal welfare groups over the years following the deaths of several of her pets, including dogs and even a horse, many of which were involved in road incidents near her former Sussex residence.

Despite the backlash, the TV personality has consistently defended herself, previously insisting the incidents occurred due to “circumstances out of [her] hands” and not a lack of care, with Katie Price assuring her followers, “I love animals, I love nurturing.”
