The latest song she released, titled, Braveface, the R&B singer details facing multiple issues such as postpartum depression, struggles with self-image, and the responsibility that comes with motherhood.

She co-wrote the track alongside the multi-Brit award winner, Raye, who also makes a special appearance within the music video.

Delivering a rather vulnerable and raw performance, Halle opens the song with lyrics, “Sittin’ on the floor, curled up in a ball / Lookin’ in the mirror and I feel so f**kin’ small.”

“Then I grab my makeup bag and shuffle it around / My head is in the clouds, self-esteem is on the ground,” the Little Mermaid actress further croons.

Braveface follows her Valentine’s Day themed debut single, Back & Forth and her collaboration with R&B star, Leon Thomas, titled, Rather Be Alone.

This comes after her ex-partner, DDG, with whom she shares her son, Halo, requested an emergency hearing and asked the court to restrict Halle Bailey from travelling internationally with their 17-month-old, as per PEOPLE magazine.
