Ed Sheeran’s ‘Play’ to release on September 12

Shape of You hitmaker Ed Sheeran has finally broken hi silence on the rumours about him moving to the USA with his family.

For the unversed, the 34-year-old English singer appeared for an interview on 2 Johnnies podcast earlier this year, where he spoke about moving to America for a while with family.

Unfortunately, his statement was misunderstood triggering a wave of speculation suggesting that he is going to leave the UK for good.

In a recent Instagram post, the Perfect singer has clear the air by saying that his family will relocate to the US temporarily while he tours.

“Way easier to clear up stuff on here so here’s me setting record straight, coz there’s deffo a narrative press are trying to push that people wanna move out of UK for some reason”, Sheeran added.

He continued the statement, saying, “I’m not moving, I’m going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on, don’t wanna commute from London to San Diego obvz.”

He further clarified that it is not because of the tax as Ed assured that will be paying taxes in the UK as he lives there.

The Grammy winner explained, “Also this isn’t a tax thing, it’s USA not UAE. Il always pay tax in UK coz that’s where I live. Play out Friday go listen to it x.”

Work wise, Sheeran’s new studio album “Play” is set to come out this Friday, September 12.
