Drake’s new song sends clear message to his old friends

Drake has called out old friends in his new song What Did I Miss? after his clash with Kendrick Lamar.

The 38-year-old Canadian rapper and singer dropped the song during the stylised livestream Iceman: Episode 1, driving around Toronto in a truck that had a fake phone number and the website the-iceman.com on it.

As he drove, people realised it was him, and some went up to him, and he greeted them with “love” and “blessings.”

Notably, the track addresses his feud with Lamar, the consequences of it and how his inner circle played neutral.

In the song, Drake raps, “Last time I looked to my right, you n**** was standing beside me / How can some people I love hang around pussies who try me?” clearly pointing out those who shifted loyalties when he needed them the most.

He went on to reflect on the Grammy winner’s homecoming show, The Pop Out, that was held in Los Angeles in June last year.

“I’m back in your city tonight, walkin’ around with my head high / I saw bro at the Pop Out with them but been dick riding gang since ‘Headlines,’” the Laugh Now Cry Later crooner raps.

It is pertinent to mention that some people think Drake is about to release a new album called Iceman because of clues he dropped in his recent Instagram caption.
