Chris Evans recently got candid and dropped a bombshell confession about his Materialist co-star Dakota Johnson.
While conversing with Access Hollywood, the 44-year-old American actor, who appears as John in their recently released film Materialist, confessed he was first “scared” that Johnson “wouldn’t like” him because of something she said a long time ago before they worked together.
Evans said, “Dakota said she didn’t like my face in an interview in years prior,” which made him anxious ahead of their meeting.
He added, “I was scared that Dakota wouldn’t like me. I just thought Dakota was this really cool person, and I don’t know why, I just got a vibe that she wasn’t going to like me.”
The Captain America: First Avenger star went on to joke that their on-screen chemistry in Materialist is “a testamentnt to performance. Cause real nightmare over here, it’s a disaster, never again.”
Johnson, who played the role of Lucy in the film, quipped, “We hate each other. I think he’s a piece of s*****.”
