“I used to be a nurse and I loved it, but now I am the patient. When I woke up at hospital, I was told the diagnosis and my life expectancy was one to two years,” she went on.

“I laughed at the doctors and told them they were wrong, told them I was leaving. I have a boy who is five years old now. Never once did I think I was going to die,” the mother admitted in her letter.
