Brad Pitt dealing with lasting impact of divorce from Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt has been reportedly regretting his divorce with Angelina Jolie. 

As per the recent findings of US Weekly, a source, who is close to the Hollywood actor, candidly talked about the struggle that he faced after his divorce.

Referring to his divorce from Jolie, whom he was married to from 2014 to 2019, the insider said, “The divorce is something that had been controlling his life for so many years. He loved her and he knows he made mistakes.”

For those unversed, the ex-couple tied knot in 2014, after a decade long relationship, and they share six children, both biological and adopted, Shiloh, Pax Thien, Knox Léon, Vivienne, Zahara Marley, and Maddox Chivan.

Recalling that his all daughters had legally dropped Pitt from their names respectively, the source told the outlet, “it’s been hard for him because he doesn’t have a great relationship with his kids.”

The source also referred to the ex-couple’s legal battle following their divorce, and said that it primarily revolved around allegations of abuse, children’s custody and the division of their French winery “turned the kids against him as well,” and he “doesn’t blame [Jolie] for everything.”

However, the F1 actor’s “biggest regret is he can’t repair” is his relationship. Meanwhile, the Maleficent actress “is still not in a place where she is going to forgive him or ever will.”

“To have that behind him is a relief. But on the other hand, it’s been hard for him because he doesn’t have a great relationship with his kids,” the insider continued.

Brad Pitt is “relieved that this [divorce] is over, but the lasting impact is something he’s going to live with forever,” the source concluded.
