Blackpink’s Lisa to play lead role in new ‘Extraction’ movie 

Blackpink’s Lisa is all set to star in the new Extraction movie with actors Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk.

As per Variety, the 28-year-old K-pop star has officially joined the cast of the forthcoming Netflix movie titled Tygo. This new project is an expansion of the Extraction franchise.

“Tygo (Don Lee), a former child soldier turned mercenary who launches a revenge mission through Korea’s criminal underworld after an operation goes awry,” a film’s synopsis read.

Expressing her excitement for the action thriller, Lisa told the outlet that “I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors.”

“Being in an action movie has always been a dream of mine, so for my film debut to be such an exciting project feels very special,” added the K-pop singer.

Don Lee also spoke about the new film, saying, “I’m thrilled that this project, which I’ve been developing for years with AGBO, is finally moving into production.”

“Tygo brings a distinctly Korean identity into the global Extraction universe. We can’t wait to unleash its explosive energy on audiences worldwide,” he added.

However, the release date of the new action thriller film has not yet been announced.
