Amy Dowden marks four weeks post surgery with brave and uplifting interview

Amy Dowden appeared in high spirits as she sat down for an interview on Thursday, four weeks after undergoing a second mastectomy following her struggle with breast cancer.

The passionate professional dancer, 35, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023 and underwent extensive treatment, including a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility preservation and a near-fatal battle with sepsis.

During an appearance on spin-off show It Takes Two alongside fellow dancer Katya Jones, Amy looked radiant and healthy.

Host Janette Manrara asked how she was feeling, to which the Welsh star replied: ‘I am feeling really well actually! Four weeks ago today, I had my surgery, and recovery is all going to plan.’
