Adam Peaty’s parents ‘accept rift is unlikely to heal’ after Gordon’s remarks

Adam Peaty’s family have nothing left to do except accept the fact that their differences with their estranged son cannot be fixed, especially after Gordon Ramsay’s latest remarks. 

The celebrity chef, 59, referred to himself as ‘dad’ in a comment on Adam’s wedding video, leaving fans believing it ‘could break his parents’ hearts.’

The influencer and daughter of Gordon, Holly Ramsay, the influencer recently tied the knot with the Olympian Adam Peaty, 31, at Bath Abbey on December 27.

Saying ‘I do’ at Bath Abbey, Adam and Holly, disinvited all of his family – including his once-beloved mother Caroline – aside from his sister Bethany, who was a bridesmaid. 

An insider told The Sun: ‘It’s been a really emotional time for them as a family. They’re coming to terms with what has happened and that Adam has picked his side.

‘It’s dashed any hope of reconciliation in the near future. They’re keeping their heads down and trying to move on quietly. It’s clear Adam’s made his choice.’

On Adam’s wedding video, which he shared on Instagram, Gordon wrote: ‘Beautiful words @adamramsaypeaty True Love congratulations love you both so much Dad’.

While some fans viewed the comment as a warm gesture, others felt Gordon’s use of the ‘Dad’ was inappropriate and claimed it was a dig at Adam’s estranged parents.
