‘Karate Kid: Legends’ star reveals major Jackie Chan act

Jackie Chan is a larger-than-life star, so Sadie Stanley, who is working with him on the upcoming Karate Kid: Legends, had high hopes for him.

And in her verdict, the megastar delivered on all counts. Sharing an example, the actress recalled the last scene of the action film, which was a long fighting sequence that had become tough to shoot.

Given the scale of the scene, many extras were needed, so was the time to shoot and set up the set.

“We were losing morale a little bit, and Jackie could sense that. And he got up on this platform, stole a mic from an AD, and started singing,” Sadie told People, adding he sang the rendition of I Can’t Help Falling in Love.

“[He] basically held a concert. I will never forget that — and his voice was beautiful,” she added. “There’s nothing he can’t do. I’ll never forget it.”

Sadie also raved about Jackie’s down-to-earth demeanor. “He’s been doing this forever, he’s a legend. Everybody loves him, but he comes onto set, extremely humble, talking to everybody.”

“Making friends with the crew, just with the best attitude. And I think that’s really rare to see these days, with legends like him.”

Jackie’s Karate Kid: Legends will be out on May 30.
