Ringo Starr recently revealed how he managed to stay fit and vital over the years.
In a recent confessional with New York Times, the musician claimed that he still feels energetic and holds the view that he has not aged a since he turned 24.
During the same chat, he showed enthusiasm for his upcoming 85th birthday on July 7th.
“It blows me away,” he began and confessed, “I look in the mirror and I’m 24. I never got older than 24.”
This statement intrigued the interviewer to ask how he manages to defy age.
Ringo replied, “Well, I love what I’m doing,” he replied.
He went on to call, “When I first started… my mother would come to the gigs. She would always say, ‘You know, son, I always feel you’re at your happiest when you’re playing your drums.’ So she noticed. And I do. I love to hit those buggers.”
“I live in the now. I didn’t plan any of it. I love that life I’m allowed to live,” the 84-year-old concluded.
