Brad Pitt compares actors of his generation with today’s

Brad Pitt has just now shared advice for the new generation of actors in Hollywood.

While promoting his movie F1 on New Heights with Jason and Travis, he candidly shared his thoughts on the difference between his generation’s actors and today’s actors.

“I like watching what the new generations are coming in with,” he began by saying. “I like to see what they’re up against and also the way they negotiate their way through it. I feel they enjoy it more.”

For those unversed, he began his career at the age of 23 with a minor role in 1987 series 21 Jump Street and gained wider recognition for his role in Thelma & Louise.

The Fight Club actor also discussed a pressure that new generation’s actors are facing to become a part of superhero movie or joined franchise.

“We were a little more uptight — and had to be — about acting. You didn’t sell out. You didn’t sell out. You didn’t sell out,” he said before adding, “And now, it’s this thing of, ‘Hey, man, we can be artists in many different arenas. So let’s do it, and let’s enjoy it.'”

“But this idea, they also get caught up in [thinking they] have to have a franchise or have to have a superhero or something like that, Don’t! Don’t!’ They’ll die,” the two-times Oscar winner concluded.

F1 was released on June 27, 2025. As of its release, the action sport movie has grossed 161.9 million against a $200-300 million budget.
