Olivia Munn says THIS painful habit started during Chirs Pine romance

Olivia Munn recently revealed that harsh comments on paparazzi photos during her relationship with Chris Pine triggered deep anxiety.

On the Monday, June 30 episode of the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, the 44-year-old American actress talked about having trichotillomania, a hair-pulling disorder.

For the unversed, according to the Mayo Clinic, people suffering from trichotillomania feel a strong urge to pull out hair from their scalp, eyebrows, and other parts of the body repeatedly.

While reflecting on her mental disorder, Munn said she pulled out her own eyelashes in trichotillomania.

She explained, “There’s a sensation. It’s probably not even real, but I’ll feel like, ‘Oh, this eyelash feels like it’s gonna come out,’ even though it’s not.”

“And then when you pull it, there was a quick second of pain. And then there’s a satisfaction and then immediate regret,” the Predator star noted.

Munn shared that her hair-pulling started when she was dating Pine, which lasted a few months from late 2009 to early 2010.

The X-Men: Apocalypse actress recalled, “So there was a paparazzi shot of he and I, and it was the first time I was in the tabloids.”

Munn said she was going to a small event and asked the costume team on The Daily Show for “the ugliest dress” they had.

“They found this blue old prom dress with big pom poms on the side. And I was like, ‘Oh, wonder if I can make it into the worst best dressed list?’ And then I did! I couldn’t believe it worked. The fact that I was like, they know who I am to even put me on this list. It was very exciting.”

During that time, she left Pine’s apartment but “there were paparazzi outside his house because he had been in Star Trek and all this. And they caught photos of me. I was like, ‘Oh my god.’ And when it got out, one of my friends was like, ‘Hey, you’re dating Chris Pine.’”

Notably, the “horrible thing” Munn did was she started reading the comments on the images.

“And they were like, ‘I think she set this up. Who’s carrying a clutch during the day?’ That began my trichotillomania,” she noted.
