Taylor Swift ex Matty Healy calls himself ‘poet’

Matty Healy, ex of Taylor Swift, has seemingly referred to the Blank Space singer’s album.

As per a video shared by Variety Magazine, The 1975 frontman seemingly nodded to Taylor’s album, The Tortured Poets Department, which reportedly includes the former couple’s short-lived romance.

During The 1975’s headline set at Glastonbury Festival in England, before performing their Chocolate, Matty told audience, “I want to be sincere for a second with everybody.”

“What this moment is making me realize is that, yeah… what this moment’s making me realize is that, and I’m being sincere, I probably am the best,” the singer added.

He sarcastically added, “I’m probably the best songwriter of my generation. The best, what do we say, a poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am.”

“Generational wordsmith. I just wanted to remind you, you know, in the next couple of minutes, these lyrics, this poetry, I bleed for you. Alright? Just take that in, alright? Take it away, boys,” Matty said.

Then the group went on to perform their Chocolate track.

The remark about “poet” appeared to be a nod towards Taylor Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department. However, Matty Healy clarified that he was “joking about being a poet,” as reported by DailyMail.
