Patrick Muldoon, who died on Sunday by heart attack, dated Denise Richards for nearly five years, and they were one of the sweet couples of 90s.

Patrick and Denise met in 1997 while filming Starship Troopers, which was released the following year.

They dated for nearly five years before splitting around 2000 and remained close friends for years until his death.

According to Us Weekly, Patrick and Denise even referred to each other as “schweet babe” even after their breakup.

Denise is an American actress, model and television personality and she rose to fame with roles in the science fiction film Starship Troopers, and the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.

During a 2019 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Denise reflected on Patrick’s friendship saying “I’ve known Patrick Muldoon since I was 19 years old. We call each other ‘schweet babe’ because we had nicknames on Starship Troopers for everyone.”

Richards and Muldoon briefly put a pause on their friendship while the actress was married to Charlie Sheen.

On her show, she once said “Mine and Pat’s relationship romantically was years ago and it’s just a deep friendship. I’m so grateful Aaron respects that because Charlie, he had a hard time with my relationship with Pat.”
