Denise Richards is reportedly heartbroken over the sudden death of her ex, Patrick Muldoon.
For those unversed, Patrick passed away on Sunday, April 19, following a sudden heart attack. He was 57.
Now, the Daily Mail reports that Denise, who dated the actor for about five years in the late 90s, is taking Patrick’s shocking death extremely hard.
“She’s devastated. Really, really sad,” a source close to the actress told the publication “I’d even call her inconsolable.”
“She can’t stop crying,” added the confidant.
Denise had known Patrick since she was a teenager. As per the outlet, the Starship Troopers actress was just 19 years old when she met Patrick in an acting class. The two remained close friends until his passing.
“Patrick is the ex that she had the best relationship with,” the source said. “There was a ton of respect on both sides.”
“It was so amicable that they were better friends than lovers and they remained in constant contact. She was his biggest supporter, he was hers,” added a tipster.
In October 2025, Patrick talked about his close bond with Denise during his appearance on Tori Spelling’s MisSPELLING podcast.
“We both don’t come from entertainment families, and our families got to know each other over the years and kind of checked in with each other on navigating the crazy stuff that we all go through,” he said.
