Prior to Lulu’s birth in 2018, the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ alum talked about their decision to pause the wedding planning.

“We talk about it and think, ‘Maybe now we’re ready to do it’ and then life happens and toddler happens,” she told the outlet at that time.

“We feel married already and it hasn’t become something that both of us are gung-ho about,” added Haylie. “Maybe after the craziness of a new baby dies down we’ll be ready to talk about it again.”

Later in May 2021, the actress revealed to Page Six that her eldest daughter, Ryan, asked when her parents would exchange vows.

“We feel married in a lot of ways. I mean, we couldn’t be more married if we tried,” Haylie said.

“We’ve got two kids and couldn’t be more married if we tried, but I think both of us envisioned doing it in Texas, and so now that we’re here, the conversations are happening a little more often than they were before,” added the older sister of actress Hilary Duff.
