Neve Campbell opens up about her ‘difficult decision’ to not sign ‘Scream 6’

Neve Campbell has admitted that it was a “very difficult decision” to not sign Scream 6.

The 52-year-old actress, who played Sidney Prescott in every chapter of the horror franchise, revealed that she turned down Scream 6 because it didn’t reflect her worth.

“When I made that decision, I just didn’t think I could live with myself walking on set,” Neve said during an interview on CBS Mornings. “The offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.”

“When I said goodbye to it, I thought that was it. I knew that there was a good chance that would be it,” she added.

Neve confessed that she was sad when she knew production was underway without her.

“I just didn’t think I could live with myself walking on set. I just didn’t feel right,” she stated. “When I knew they were having their first day of shooting and I wasn’t there, I was like, ‘That sucks.’ But at the same time I knew that my decision was right.”
