Robert Carradine’s heartbroken brother Keith breaks silence on actor’s tragic death

Keith Carradine is breaking the silence following the tragic death of his younger brother, Robert Carradine.

For those unversed, the Revenge of the Nerds actor took his own life following a two-decade battle with bipolar disorder. He was 71.

Following Robert’s tragic death, Keith spoke to Deadline and said that he wants people to know about his brother’s struggle.

“We want people to know it, and there is no shame in it,” he told the outlet. “It is an illness that got the best of him, and I want to celebrate him for his struggle with it, and celebrate his beautiful soul.”

“He was profoundly gifted, and we will miss him every day,” added the Dexter alum. “We will take solace in how funny he could be, how wise and utterly accepting and tolerant he was. That’s who my baby brother was.”

Robert made his acting debut in 1972 alongside John Wayne in The Cowboys. Throughout his decades-long career, the actor appeared in so many films, including The Night They Came Home, Django Unchained, Lizzie McGuire, and many more.
