Anne Burrell suspected of overdose 

New details might come to light regarding Anne Burrell’s demise.

As per The New York Times, authorities are investigating the cause of her death as a possible drug overdose.

The Food Network star, who was 55 at the time of death, was “discovered in the shower unconscious and unresponsive surrounded by approximately (100) assorted pills.”

This report came from The New York Times on June 20, citing an internal New York Police Department document.

For the unversed, Burrell was discovered deceased in her Brooklyn home on June 17, with a spokesperson from NYPD (New York Police Department) revealing to PEOPLE magazine that the Worst Cooks in America host was found “unconscious and unresponsive” at the scene.

Additionally, EMS “responded and pronounced her deceased on scene,” police further stated while a spokesperson on behalf of the Office of Chief Medical Examiner said her autopsy had been completed, but that the original cause and manner of Anne Burrell’s death are still uncovered.

The New York Times bestselling author reportedly spent her final weeks surrounded with friends and family, as well as spending time in being a helping hand to others.
