The Puerto Rican rapper’s hand was in focus as he held the microphone to deliver his speech after winning the Album of the Year trophy at the star-studded ceremony.
As clips of the speech went viral, social media users noticed a new piece of jewellery on his ring finger and speculated that it was evidence of a secret engagement.
Now, a source close to the rapper has released a statement regarding the Bad’s engagement rumors. Responding to TMZ, the confidant said that the I Like It singer is still single.
The confidant further said that the jewellery on Bad’s finger was a stylish gift from Cartier, clarifying that it’s not a sign of a secret relationship.
For those unversed, Bad made history at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, winning the Album of the Year trophy for his new Spanish-language record, Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
In his award acceptance speech, the 31-year-old musician criticized U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
