Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster address ‘bygone era’ amid wedding anniversary 

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster’s love has taken them back to “a bygone era.”

On Thursday, the husband and wife revealed via their official Instagram accounts that they were celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary.

The two embarked on a trip from Paris to Italy by train, with the two uploading a picture of themselves posing together outside the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

Lancaster captioned the post, “Entering a bygone era @vsoetrain from Paris where we got engaged to Portofino where we got married 18 years ago, it’s totally magical @sirrodstewart xxxx.”

In the picture, the Young Turks hitmaker could be seen wearing a hot pink jacket over a white attire as his wife wrapped an arm around his shoulder, with both of them smiling at the camera for the photo.

Also taking to the app’s Stories feature, the model posted a photo of herself inside the train cart, holding a sign that read, “Paris to Portofino.”

In the caption of the picture, Lancaster wrote, “A dream come true for our wedding anniversary @sirrodstewert @vsoetrain.”

For the unversed, Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster tied the knot back in 2007, in Portofino, at a medieval abbey at La Cervara with 100 family and friends, as per PEOPLE magazine.
