Jonathan Bailey felt pressure leading ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’

Jonathan Bailey has opened up about the pressure of leading Jurassic World.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Jonathan, famed for his role as Lord Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix’s Bridgerton, discussed his upcoming role as Dr Loomis in Jurassic World Rebirth.

Admitting to feeling the pressure of leading, the actor said, “There are moments where, yes, you feel like you have to be excellent just to prove you can do it.”

He went on to add, “There’s the weight of history, and the many brilliant people who came before who’ve changed how we talk about sexuality.

Jonathan said, “Being an out gay actor, historically, meant you wouldn’t be able to play straight—and there weren’t many gay parts to play, either.”

“That’s changed massively. But there’s still work to do,” the actor noted.

Besides Jonathan Bailey, Jurassic World Rebirth also stars Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert, Luna Blaise as Teresa Delgado, and more. The film is scheduled to release on July 2, 2025.
