Actor Derek Dixon has filed a $260 million lawsuit against Hollywood star and filmmaker Tyler Perry, alleging repeated sexual harassment, assault, and professional retaliation. 

Perry has been accused of using his influence in the industry to exploit Dixon. 

Dixon claimed that Perry’s advances escalated to physical assault on multiple occasions, including an incident where Perry allegedly groped him and attempted to force himself on him.

Who is Derek Dixon?

US actor Derek Dixon is best known for his roles in Tyler Perry’s TV shows “The Oval” and “Ruthless”. 

Born in North California, Dixon pursued his passion for acting at Marymount Manhattan College and later honed his craft at the Terry Schreiber Studio in New York.

In “The Oval” Dixon played a significant role , appearing in at least 85 episodes.

He worked alongside Tyler Perry on “Ruthless” a spin-off of “The Oval”.

Meanwhile, Perry’s lawyer, Matthew Boyd, has stated that they are confident the lawsuit will fail, and the actor will not be “shaken down” by these allegations.
