Doctor pleads guilty in Matthew Perry’s drug overdose case

Matthew Perry’s doctor has agreed to plead guilty in connection to the actor’s tragic death.

Dr. Salvador Plasencia admitted that he has illegally given ketamine to the Friends star, who died from an overdose in October 2023 at the age of 54.

The doctor confessed in a plea deal that he gave Perry ketamine without a valid medical reason, weeks before his death, via Variety.

As part of the plea deal, Plasencia might face a prison sentence of 15 to 21 months, however, the final decision will be given by judge.

Federal investigators charged Plasencia and four others last year for their involvement in supplying Perry the fatal drug.

In a converstion with another doctor via text, Plasencia reportedly said, “I wonder how much this moron will pay… Let’s find out.”

Jasveen Sangha, also known as the Ketamine Queen, is facing charges for possessing and distributing meth and ketamine unlawfully and is also set to go on trial in August.
