Meghan Markle’s return to acting met with disappointment

Meghan Markle’s return to acting has been met with disappointment, with insiders describing her performance as “rigid” and “wooden.”

The Duchess of Sussex is set to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming film Close Personal Friends, which stars Lily Collins, Brie Larson, and Jack Quaid.

The film will mark Meghan’s return to acting after almost 8 years, marking her first on-screen role since leaving “Suits” in 2017.

However, people on-set have not been very pleased with her acting prowess with sources close to the production saying her performance has drawn unflattering comparisons.

One insider said seeing Meghan act makes Kim Kardashian “look like an Oscar-winner.”

“There was a lot of curiosity about how she would read on camera after so many years away,” another source revealed to Radar Online.

“The genuine response was one of surprise, but unfortunately not a positive one in the end, as the performance came across as rigid and overly aware of itself.”

“There are jokes going around that, by comparison, it is so wooden it will make Kim Kardashian’s acting seem almost awards-level,” they added.
