Kate Hudson confesses emotional habit that ‘never stops’

Kate Husdon confessed that she easily cries.

In a recent chat with People, the 46-year-old actress who stars alongside Hugh Jackman in Craig Brewer’s musical biopic Song Sung Blue, shared that the film often brings her to tears.

“I cry every day ‘cause every time Hugh and I start talking about the movie, we get so emotional,” she told the outlet

For those unversed, the movie chronicles the real-life story of the Neil Diamond tribute band Lightning & Thunder.

Hudson went on to admit, “I cry really easy. I’m an easy crier. … I could look at an Instagram and start [crying]. Especially [posts] of kids saying something profound will make me cry.”

“I think I probably cry at least once every other day,” she adds. “Crying is always a good thing. It really is,” she added.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star said being emotional runs in her family, “We’re all criers. Our whole family, everybody but maybe Pa [Kurt Russell] and Wyatt.”

“We’re pretty emotional,” Hudson added.

Earlier in December, Hudson gushed over working with Jackman while sharing insight into her bond with her costar at the 2025 Gotham Awards

“His superpower is to connect, whether it’s onstage, whether it’s on set, whether it’s with anyone and everyone. He just wants to connect, and he wants to make sure that everyone’s happy,” Hudson told the pulsiher.

“And at the same time, I learned that one of the greatest gifts that you can give people is that you actually have a desire to connect to them, and I think you give that to everybody,” she noted at the time.
