Inside plans for Rob Reiner’s funeral: Everything to know

Rob Reiner’s family has a lot of plans in place for his funeral and insight into what the world can expect has just been shared in a report by celebrity news reporter Rob Shuter.

He shared everything on his Substack and revealed that the couple’s family are planning a “deeply private, carefully guarded ceremony” for his and Michele Singer Reiner’s final send off rather than a bigger more public affair.

An insider spoke to Mr Shuter regarding this decision and admitted, “They know how many people want to pay their respects, but this first goodbye is strictly about family and the people who were in their lives every single day.”

One of the biggest reasons for this “the family is in shock. They cannot handle a public spectacle right now. This is about dignity, safety, and grief.”

According to the reporter the only famous people confirmed on the guest list include Michelle and Barack Obama, as well as others in the political circle who were part of the couple’s inner circle.

However, that is not to say there won’t be a bigger, more public event for others to pay their respects because “There will be a public memorial, and every major award show is planning tributes. The industry wants — and needs — to honor them,” the source concluded by saying.
