Back to Abraham: his music career began with a group called Dinos, but he had to leave the group to focus on his family.

Amidst this, the late singer recognized her daughter’s vocal talent, which led him to form a family band called Selena y Los Dinos.

Under his management, the band rose to success, becoming a prominent name in Tejano music, from where they first began.

However, Abraham’s life came to a halt when her youngest child, Selena, was shot by Yolanda Saldívar, an ex-president of Selena’s fan club and manager of her boutiques.

Following her shocking death, a movie in her honour, titled Selena, starring Jennifer Lopez, was made.

In the film, Abraham served as an executive producer and, after the musician’s tragedy, became a protector of her legacy in art and culture.
