Mia Sara shares candid thoughts on ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’

In Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Mia Sara played the iconic role of Sloane Peterson. But in a surprising revelation, she said she had not seen the film in years.

In a chat with People, the actress asked about the classic cult film, ”Oh my goodness. A very long time ago. It’s not really fun to watch yourself. It’s not really fun.”

The actress also revealed the film’s cast had a reunion on Zoom during COVID. “We did a reunion thing during COVID — there was a reunion thing, which was nice. It was nice to see everybody.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mia shared her favourite memory from the shooting, involving the parade scene. “I had so much fun doing that parade scene.”

“That was so crazy. Because we would do the dance and then we’d get in a van and they’d drive us blocks away, and the camera would go, and then we’d do the dance again and wait for Matthew to pass.”

“And so it was just this crazy let’s catch it as many times as we can. So that was a great moment,” Mia concluded.
