Photo: ‘Stranger Things’ star reveals contrast between first, last day of shooting

Cara Buono has reflected on how her journey on Stranger Things began and ended in two very different emotional spaces.

Speaking to Us Weekly, the actress, who portrays Mrs. Wheeler on the hit Netflix sci-fi series, opened up about filming her final scenes. 

The show, which premiered in 2016, follows a small town plagued by mysterious and supernatural occurrences.

Buono teased that fans will be satisfied with how the story ultimately wraps up, noting that the experience of finishing the series hit her harder than expected.

She shared that the contrast between her first and last day on set was striking, calling the final day “emotional” for her. 

“And the last day of the show for me was the very last day of shooting.”

“Everybody was there, the families were there and I was in the second to last setup for the very end of the show,” she told the outlet.

“So it was really a beautiful moment. Because in season 1, I was the first day, first scene and first take. For me, it came full circle at the end.”

“It was just a matter of getting out by trying not to cry and getting to deliver my lines,” she concluded.
