Chris Martin gives sweet nod to ex Dakota Johnson during recent concert

Chris Martin showed support for Dakota Johnson on Las Vegas stage this weekend.

The Coldplay frontman was closing the Friday concert when he thanked the crowd and gave the Fifty Shades actress a shoutout.

“Thank you, everybody! Be kind to each other!” Martin said into the mic, per a fan-captured footage shared on TikTok.

He then added, “Don’t forget to go see Materialists!” referring to the new romantic comedy starring Johnson, which premieres on June 13.

The sweet nod to Johnson comes amid confirmation from multiple sources that the pair have ended their nearly eight-year relationship.

“It feels final this time,” a source told People Magazine in June after breakup rumours that have been making rounds since August 2024.

The pair were last photographed together on May 16 when they stepped out in Malibu, California. Before that, they held hands in January when Martin was touring with his band in India.

Meanwhile, Martin’s ex-wife and mother of his two kids Gwyneth Paltrow, has “developed a close friendship” with Johnson over the years and “fully intends on maintaining that bond,” per an insider.

Martin is in the midst of a world tour with Coldplay, with their next performance in Denver on June 10 while Johnson is promoting her new movie.
