Alison Hammond came under fire from This Morning viewers after making a series of awkward blunders during Friday’s show which show, which featured a special guest appearance by Priscilla Presley.

The 50-year-old presenter co-hosted the episode alongside Dermot O’Leary, 52, as they welcomed the former wife of rock and roll icon Elvis Presley to the ITV studio.

Priscilla, now, 80, joined the hosts to discuss her latest memoir, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, which explores her life following her relationship with the legendary musician.

However, before Priscilla had the chance to delve into the book’s themes, viewers took to social media platform X to highlight a recurring mistake made by Alison.

Fans were quick to point out that the host kept mispronouncing Elvis Presley’s name, repeatedly referring to him as ‘Alvis.’

Social media was soon filled with amused and frustrated reactions, with one viewer writing, ‘Who is Alvis, Alison? While another joked, ‘just waiting for Priscilla to ask who the hell is this person Alvis you keep mentioning.’

Despite the om-air slips ups, Priscilla remained composed as she opened up about her early days with Elvis. She recalled meeting him in 1959 when she was just 14 years old, while he was stationed near the American army base in Bad Nauheim, Germany.

The couple went on to marry in 1976 and welcomed their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, a year later in 1968. Elvis passed in 1977 at the age of 42.
