Jessica Chastain reveals new career goal after joining Harvard

Jessica Chastain has recently revealed she wants to take over the world after she graduates from Harvard University.

The Interstellar actress reflected on attaining Master’s degree in public administration in her latest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 2.

For the unversed, Jessica already graduated from The Juilliard School, where she studied acting, and even received an honorary doctorate from the school in 2024.

Elaborating on why she went back to school, the Oscar winner told the host that she “was just wanting to learn new things”.

Spilling about her favourite subjects, Jessica mentioned that she loved to read “quantitative methods, which is like statistics”.

“And at Juilliard, you know, we never… As theatre nerds we never got to learn stuff like that,” remarked the 48-year-old.

Therefore, Jessica confessed, “I am a secret nerd. I got the hots for, like, scatter graphs and, like, bell curves.”

The Help actress disclosed that she still had two semesters left to complete the “mid-career program”.

When asked what she would like to do with her degree, Jessica instantly replied, “My goal is to take over the world.”

However, the Ava star also shared her unique college experience which is different from the typical ones.

“My dorm was the Charles Hotel. My RA was housekeeping,” she added.

Meanwhile, Jessica also talked about her new show, The Savant, which is based on a true story.

The actress mentioned that the story is about a “woman living a double life who is trying to balance motherhood while tracking hate groups online to stop domestic extremists.
